2010 ARTIST DAY ---BRINGING YOU UP TO DATE ON INTERNATIONAL ARTIST DAY

It was 5 years ago when Chris MacClure decided to make INTERNATIONAL ARTIST DAY a reality.  He schooled himself in website management and went to work to bring this day to the global artist community.  It's been a labor of love and the fruits of that work are beginning to manifest.  This idea "whose time was come" has spread worldwide and the reponse has been overwhelmingly positive.  The artist community has responded and International Artist Day has taken on a life of it's own and Chris can relax some of the grueling effort to bring this into being.  IT IS DONE!

Thanks to all who have jumped on the "train" and helped establish 'OUR DAY!"   Keep up the efforts, it's so easy to let others do the work and pass by the opportunity to do something ourselves. Please let us know of your artist day celebrations.

October 25th every year has been selected as International Artist Day.

This worldwide tribute to artists will honor and bring recognition to the contributions they have made to civilization.

Everyone around the world can do something special on that day to enhance the visual arts: take an artist to lunch, host an exhibition, buy a piece of art, attend a gallery show, visit a studio of your favorite artist. Blog each other, let your local news papers and tv be aware.. Also try and have your city proclaim this wonderful day. If we don't help make this happen worldwide it will not perpetuate itself. Please get involved.
